Job grades allow you to set and update the hourly rate for a group of employees from one place rather than doing so individually. An employee’s job grade can also be displayed on their payslips and in the reports. Job grades can, therefore, be used to satisfy the wage and reporting requirements of bargaining councils.
To set up your job grades, go to Settings > Job Grades and enter the necessary information. Specifying the optional Fixed normal rate will set the hourly rate to the entered value for all employees at this grade.
Once this is done you will need to assign each employee to their respective job grade, which can be done individually from the employee’s Basic Info screen (Employee Profile > Edit Info > Basic Info), or in bulk by going to Employees > Bulk Actions > Essentials. In both instances, select the relevant option from the Job grade drop-down menu and Save.
